Hartford, Conn. — Reid and Riege, P.C., is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO), in a historic initiative that will help shape the future of one of Connecticut's most respected cultural institutions.

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra is conducting a national search for its next Music Director as Carolyn Kuan concludes her distinguished tenure leading the organization. The search marks a significant moment in the Symphony's history and represents one of the most important arts leadership transitions underway in Connecticut.

As sponsors of the Music Director Search, Reid and Riege is honored to support the Symphony throughout this process and help advance the organization's mission of enriching lives through the power of music.

This partnership reflects our firm's longstanding commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen our communities and enhance the quality of life throughout our region."

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra recently announced four finalists for the Music Director position. Each candidate will participate in a residency in Hartford, engage with community members and stakeholders, and conduct a Masterworks performance weekend as part of the selection process.

The finalists, and the dates of their Masterworks performances, are:

  • Yaniv Dinur – October 23–25, 2026
  • Jonathan Taylor Rush – November 20–22, 2026
  • Alastair Willis – December 11–13, 2026
  • John Morris Russell – February 12–14, 2027

The Music Director Search is expected to attract significant attention from Connecticut's business, nonprofit, civic, and cultural communities as the Symphony evaluates candidates to help lead the organization into its next era.

"Arts organizations like the Hartford Symphony Orchestra play a vital role in bringing people together, inspiring creativity, and contributing to the vibrancy of our communities," said Kasper. "We are proud to support the Symphony during this exciting and important process and look forward to celebrating its future success."
