Casey aims to deepen clients’ understanding of ERISA’s complex regulatory framework while providing practical legal advice tailored to each client’s compliance needs.

Casey is a Law Clerk (*Pending Bar Admission) in the firm’s Multiemployer Benefit Plans practice, where he assists clients on various matters related to their benefit funds.

Having grown up in a union family, Casey is proud to work hand in hand with union and management trustees, other fund professionals, and fund administrators to ensure funds comply with the relevant legal framework. He aims to guide clients on various compliance matters to support smooth day-to-day administration of their employee benefit funds.

Representative Experience

  • While at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Casey studied extensively in the field of labor law and completed a field placement where he worked closely with union leadership and provided assistance in drafting collective bargaining agreements, dealing with National Labor Relations Board filings, and aiding in various legal matters relating to union organization efforts.

Professional & Community Involvement

  • Casey is honored to have worked at the University of Connecticut School of Law’s Tax Clinic during his studies. The Clinic represents indigent individuals in the greater Hartford area facing significant tax-related issues with the Internal Revenue Service and the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services.

Honors & Awards

    • While at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Casey was recognized as a Thomas J. Staley Scholar and received the Fleming James Jr. Award for his studies in labor law.
    • During his studies at UConn Law, Casey was also awarded CALI Excellence Awards in Civil Procedure, Principles of Insurance, Securities Regulation, and Labor Law: Strikes, Picketing and Boycotts.
    • Casey is proud to have competed on the UConn Law School Mock Trial Society and was honored to represent UConn in the Annual San Diego Defense Lawyers competition. He also served as a managing editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal for the Journal’s 32nd Volume.
